Angaza Smartfarm · In review
An AI agronomist + farm OS for African smallholders.
Voice-first crop advice, photo diagnostics, weather, and a managed data backbone — built for the partner organizations that already serve farmers on the ground.
What it does
A real advisor in your pocket. In your language. For your plot.
- AI agronomist
- Ask a question in plain language — by voice or text — and get a clear, locally-relevant answer about pests, fertilizer, planting windows, or crop choice.
- Photo diagnostics
- Snap a photo of a leaf, a pod, or a soil sample. Get a diagnosis with confidence levels and the next two or three things worth trying.
- Voice in local languages
- Transcription and replies in the languages farmers actually use. The barrier isn't smartphones — it's English.
- Farm OS
- Plot records, planting cycles, input logs, and a calendar a smallholder operator can keep up with on a basic phone.
For farmers
Built for the way smallholders actually farm.
- Mobile-first. Works on a phone you already own. Light on data, light on memory.
- Voice-first. Speak the question. Hear the answer. Reading isn't a prerequisite.
- Honest about uncertainty. When the diagnosis is a guess, it says so — and tells you what to check next.
- Free at the edge. Operators handle the bill. The farmer doesn't pay per question.
For partner operators
You serve the farmers. We run the AI.
Angaza Smartfarm is operated by partner organizations already embedded in the field — co-ops, agronomy services, and SMEs like Angaza Consultants. We provide the technology stack; you provide the relationship.
- Token-based billing, no surprises
- Three monthly tiers + pay-as-you-go top-ups. Pricing and per-call cost are visible on every invoice. No hidden fees.
- A managed data backbone
- Usage, balance, and operator analytics live in a hosted dashboard. Your data stays anonymized when it crosses into the holdco engine — never raw user records.
- Sal, in the dashboard
- An AI assistant inside your operator console. Ask it to interpret usage, plan a campaign, draft a message, or forecast next week — scoped strictly to your own data.
Status
In review.
The Android and iOS apps are in store review. The operator dashboard is live and accepting pilot partners. Sal — the in-product AI assistant — runs on the same data engine that powers the rest of the Kodra portfolio.
